KwaZulu-Natal is rolling out a Social Cohesion and Moral Generation programme aimed at rebuilding KZN after the unrest that engulfed the Province in July. As the province recovers by rebuilding infrastructure, it will also rise through programmes aimed at healing the citizens and promote social cohesion.
The making of a symbol that captures and represents KZN rising Themes including social cohesion, diversity, unity and healing was in need.
The symbol is a two round heads touching each other and below it is a slanted 'v' shape clearly showing rising in an inclined forward direction.
The symbol clearly interpret the aim of getting the citizens in partnership to heal and work a way forward by social cohesion, uniting, healing, and rebuilding.
The colors tell a story about the fertility of the land (Green), the lost lives of family and friends (Red), the endless possibilities for the South Africans to rise (Blue), and the mineral wealth of the country.
